New Item & New Categroy

Today I added a new category and a new product to My Studio on ArtFire.  The new category is Vintage Items and the new product is New Orleans Tile Art.

New Orleans Tile Art is roofing slates mined in Pennsylvania and transported down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers on rafts as the roofing material after the disastrous fire of 1795.  Each slate was individually hand shaped. This one came from an old building on Chartres Street dating back to the early 1800's.  It was originally owned by a famous merchant named Bosch.

The tile measures 4 1/2" x 5" and is signed on the front by the artist.  The price of the tile is US $20.00 and shipping will be US $15.00.

I will be adding some other items to the Vintage category in the near future and I hope you will watch for them and find something that would be the perfect addition to your home.

Delft Table Runner & Matching Coasters
