Counted Cross Stitch Panels - Unfinished

Today I added 5 Counted Cross Panels to My Studio on Artfire.  These are hand stitched and need to be finished with frames or by making a pillow or whatever you might have in mind.  .

The Sand Dollar panel measures 11 1/2" x 26 3/4" long and needs a frame.  The Harriet Beecher Stowe saying measures 13 1/2" x 16 1/2" and needs a frame.  The Violets panel measures 10 3/4" x 10" and could be made into a pillow or could be framed.  The Blue Bird plaid would make a beautiful pillow (perhaps for that camper) or needs to be framed.  The Train panel needs a frame.

Pretty Picture Frame

Today I added this picture frame to My Studio on Artfire.  The frame measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" and can be made in many different colors.  The accents on the frame can also be made in colors that go well with any color frame.  The sample pictures in the frame are of two of my granddaughters and measure 3 1/2" x 5".

This frame is relatively inexpensive and would make a wonderful gift for family, friends and co-workers.

Vintage Crystal Drinking Glasses

Today I have added these beautiful, vintage crystal drinking glasses to My Studio on Artfire.  These glasses come in two difference sizes and there are 8 glasses in each size.  The larger glass is 5 3/4" tall by 3 3/4" across the top.  The smaller glass is 5 1/2" tall by 3 1/2" across the top.  These glasses have been in my family for generations and I remember them being used at holidays to serve drinks with holiday dinners.  They are absolutely in mint condition with no chips or scratches.

Set of 8 Crystal Dessert Dishes

I have added a set of 8 of these crystal dessert dishes to My Studio on ArtFire this morning.  They measure 4" tall and are 4" around the top.  They are in absolutely mint condition with no scratches or chips.  The complete set of 8 dishes are priced at $50 and shipping is included in the price.

New Item & New Categroy

Today I added a new category and a new product to My Studio on ArtFire.  The new category is Vintage Items and the new product is New Orleans Tile Art.

New Orleans Tile Art is roofing slates mined in Pennsylvania and transported down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers on rafts as the roofing material after the disastrous fire of 1795.  Each slate was individually hand shaped. This one came from an old building on Chartres Street dating back to the early 1800's.  It was originally owned by a famous merchant named Bosch.

The tile measures 4 1/2" x 5" and is signed on the front by the artist.  The price of the tile is US $20.00 and shipping will be US $15.00.

I will be adding some other items to the Vintage category in the near future and I hope you will watch for them and find something that would be the perfect addition to your home.

I'm Back! Yea!!!

Almost a month after my surgery and I'm finally back!  Recovery has taken longer than I thought it would and I am so over this now!

I have added a new item to my website, http://grandmalovescats.artfire.com.  This Easter basket has a large Easter egg and a large bunny on the side of it and contains a lot of plastic eggs.  They are just waiting to be filled with toys or candy and will make some child very happy.  It is very reasonably priced at $10 plus $2 shipping.  I hope you will take a look at it.

I am currently working on a beautiful delft table runner and 6 matching coasters.  Hopefully, these will be done in the next couple of weeks so I hope you will watch for them.

Off for a Few Days

Hi  Everyone:

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be off the computer for a few days after hopefully minor surgery tomorrow.  I hope you will keep checking the items on my site while I'm gone.  I'm currently working on a delft table runner and coasters and will have them finished soon after I am able to come back after my surgery.  The shades of blue in the new items are really beautiful and I can't wait for you to see them.

Sunflower Table Runner & Coaster Set

Welcome to My Artfire.

The centerpiece of this table runner is the beautiful sunflower in the middle.  The runner would make a wonderful decoration on your dining room table and the coasters in their own box would be very handy to have on hand when you have guests.  The table runner measures 10 1/2" x 31 1/2" and the coasters are 4" x 4".

I grew up in Kansas where the sunflower is the state flower.  I have always thought they are beautiful flowers and couldn't resist this pattern's take on the sunflower.

Shades of Brown and Green Granny Square Throw

January Blues

Well, January is now half over and I'm ready for spring.  I live in Denver, CO and the snow was so bad in the mountains this morning that you absolutely couldn't get there from here.  Highways closed, etc. etc.  I'm now more than ready for warm weather. 

I'm busily working on a new afghan to put in My Studio on ArtFire.  It will be shades of green and brown and is really pretty.  Keep checking back as I hope to have it done in a couple of weeks and it would make a wonderful gift for celebrating spring with the greens of a new season.

Leprechauns Waiting To Grant Wishes
